welcome to the Newt community - greetings from overseas (Netherlands).
It was very nice to read your lines.
And what surprise - there is an even easier way to sort your items into
folders:
f.i. in Extras you will find in the right bottom corner a Button with a
folder icon, the so called filing button.
This is the easiest way to file the item you selected with a long tap (until
you hear a squeeche). You can chose the folder and the location (internal or
PCMCIA card) and create new folders.
And before I forget: try out unna.org - the best place to find tons of
software for your Newt (if you have not already done so).
