Now, reboot the Newt using the reset button.
As soon as you hit the reset button ... hold the stylus at the left edge
of the screen a little over halfway down the screen.
Keep the stylus there until a message comes up asking if you want to
activate the packages on the internal store. Answer no.
When the Newt finishes booting go to extras and delete the offending
package.
Reset Newt again and life should be good.
