Amazing, isn't it, just how different some folks' experiences are from
others? In 17 years of Mac use I've never experienced items 2, 5, 6, and 7.
Items 1 and 4 have been increasingly rare since the era of OS 7.6.1. I've
experienced items 3 and 5 on both SUN and SGI workstations a number of
times, so UNIX doesn't insulate you from that. Nor does it remove the need
for #8 or something similar.

Oh, and this benign operating environment is with four full rows of
extensions marching across my screen on startup (at monitor resolution of
1024). If anyone ought to have an unstable system, you'd think it would be
me.

OTOH, my wife (who is a bit of a technophobe) seems to be able to find ways
of crashing a Mac that I can't duplicate even when I see her do it!
