[NTLK] Newton Bootstrapping PCMCIA loaner -- Was: Obstacles to installation (similar to "bootstrapping" thread)

I've seen this sort of thing on the list before, where someone
wants to get their new Newt working with Ethernet but they have no way
to load the software.

I'm willing to set aside a flash card as a loaner. If someone
needs to install some software on their Newt, but have no way of doing
it, I'll lend a card with the software installed. I'll cover the cost of
sending the thing anywhere in North America, and they'd cover the cost
of returning it to me. The card I have in mind is a 2MB flash card,
which 'ought to be able to handle anything within reason (NIE 2.0, etc).

So, anyway, Brian, if you still need a way to get NIE and the
Orinoco software, send me a message off-list. I don't have an Orinoco
card myself, so I'd need some information about what software
specifically you'd need.

        Regards,

Jim Anderson
