Hello
I would like to know if OSX can run "pure" unix apps
from a Sun server.
I am planning to go out of my mind and get a new
laptop, mac of course[duuuhhh!!] over the holiday
season(hopefully it's cheaper). But I am torn between
my choices[sic]. I would not have considered the Ti
until it got to a Gig but not that it has (AND
W/SUPERDRIVE), I am indecisive.
What I would like to know from any Ice users on list
is whether or not they have found them to have enough
power for professional apps. I would mainly be using
it for experimenting with programming, video and
webdesign. If you do what apps are you using.
My main delimna(sp)is power. I personally doubt(
although I don't ave any documents to back it up that
the I-book, even the new onee, have enuff stuff to
really do hardcore editing and VPC which I will have
to do alot of. On the other hand if I get a Ti-book,
it will be pointless to get anything lower than
top-of-the-line, but I don't want to be paying the
rest of my life on it. So I am asking if I should
make the life-long commitment for the speed or will
the Ibook really cut it. TIA.
