[NTLK] Apple Peripheral 8 cable - is this for Newton-to-PC?

I went to my local Mac-breakers for a serial cable to connect the Newt' and
Mac together and the dopey buggers gave me a Peripheral 8 cable - a serial
DIN connector at one end and a D9 connector (a la PC serial connector). Is
this the kind of thing that is used to connect a Newton to a PC? As it turns
out I'm now using some old localtalk adapters, but if it is the PC cable
then I might keep it in the kit instead of strangling those fools...
