Re: [NTLK] Newtsync Features and Questions

There's a preference in NewtSync's setup which allows you to specify
whether the Mac or the Newton record prevails if both have been
modified since the last sync. If only one side has been modified since
the last sync (which is usually the case), then there's no conflict
resolution necessary; the modified record always "wins."

As for auto-discovery and auto-connection -- I have no plans for this
in the near future. This would be somewhat tricky with TCP/IP, and you
really have to "force" a network connection... you can't really react
to an Ethernet cable being connected. It may be possible to use
Rendezvous to auto-discover hosts, but not all wireless hubs support
this so it would be hit or miss. Not really worth the somewhat large
amount of effort necessary.

There's currently no way to import "custom" fields... perhaps in a
future vesion? The source code for the plug-ins is publicly available
so it shouldn't be too tricky to add later.
