Fortunately for Clinton, his legacy Performa 6400 has a serial port
built-in. No need to buy a Keyspan adapter. Just set NewtSync to use
Serial instead of TCP/IP, select the printer port, turn OFF Appletalk
on the Mac (so the printer port isn't configured for Appletalk), and
connect the Newt to the printer port, and go.

Actually I just thought of something: are you running OSX on your
Performa? I didn't know that was possible. I guess you'd have to do so
in order to use NewtSync... hmmm...
