No need to do something that drastic. just don't store it in the Newto=
n when it's not in use. Also, start the Newton before inserting the modem=
when you are going to use it. I think you'll find it doesn't draw quite =
as much power that way.
But, if you're that low on battery power, just about anything is going=
to drop you below the voltage that is acceptable to the Newton and force=
a restart.
