A Newton "9W" power adapter can provide up to 1.2A at 7.5V. I'm pretty
sure that USB and IEEE1394 will probably only have +5V, so to begin with
you'd need a step-up transformer. And note that anything much over 7.5V
will kill your Newton.
Then, you'd need to be able to deliver a decent amperage. Even the older
Newton adapters are rated for 0.5A, quite a ways from 100ma.
