I was interesting mainly in seeing what kind of reaction I'd get if
I inquired about porting SETI_at_Home to the Newton platform, but I actually
received a response that wasn't an outright laugh:

I just wish PVM or MPI ran under NewtOS so all my 2100s in parallel could
process a dataset and put 'Newton OS' on the list of active systems. Of
course extra heap space would be helpful. :) It's nice to see that their
code isn't necessarily closed to outside developers.
