Well, as you mentioned, "choose network LaserWriter" does exactly what it
says it's doing: it's trying to find network LaserWriter. Since you're
mentioning a Deskjet, I don't think it's a LaserWriter, so you won't get it
in the chooser. A LaserWriter is basically a PostScript printer supporting
AppleTalk, be it on LocalTalk or Ethernet. Most LaserJet printers from HP do
it, but not the Deskjet, unfortunately...
