Well, when iSync was first announced, it was stated that it was based on
SyncML (if my memory serves me correctly). However, that does not appear to
be the case, at least, in the first version. There *may* be elements of
SyncML buried somewhere in iSync (maybe the .Mac sync protocol is iSync
based), but the bluetooth and Palm conduits are not SyncML based.

As I said in a previous post, hopefully Apple will release information on
how to write iSync plugins soon.
