I just had an emate battery rebuilt with 2700mAh cells... these were
apparently A cells, and are slightly larger than the AA cells... so the
pack winds up being wider than the orig packs. But it fits in the emate
just fine without that black plastic casing.

I think this is a totally safe rebuild for the emate. Seems to be working
well so far.
