Anyway for me to install packages and do backups in OS X without a
serial port OR Classic?

I have moved all my non-legacy Macs to running Mac OS X v.10.2.5 only
and don't have Mac OS 9 installed on anything ... but I don't want to
stop using my Newton by any means ...
