In fact, I've always used the default port, port 1 of my adapter (I
don't have any other serial port). I only realized there was a
problem when a user reported the same problem. In the meanwhile, if
you don't have any other port but your Keyspan adapter, plugging your
Newton to port #1 should work (I think).
