Thanks for the tip, Andrew.

The battery cage mod sounds very attractive. This allows the off-the-shelf NiMH cells to charge in the Newton just like a battery pack, right? How risky is this procedure, both in terms of possibly rendering the battery cage FUBAR, and in terms of the cells safely charging inside the Newt without worry of overheating, etc.?
