Apple originally used 1200 mAh cells. I rebuild with 1850 mAh cells.
The Newton doesn't care about the capacity as long as the cells are
NiMH cells, you can use the largest you find. However, be aware that
it is very tight in the pack even with 1200 mAh cells, larger capacity
cells might have a marginally larger size which can make the difference between
getting the cells in or not. With the 1850 mAh cells I am using I have to
remove some of the plastic inside the pack, otherwise one wouldn't be
able to insert and eject the pack properly after the rebuild.
