Here is a quote from the NIST that defines the US
observance of Daylight Saving Time (notice the absence
of an "s"?)
At 2 a.m. on the first Sunday in April, we set our
clocks forward one hour ahead of standard time
("spring forward"). We "fall back" at 2 a.m. on the
last Sunday in October by setting our clock back one
hour and thus returning to standard time.
There is a really good extension that adds an option
to your Preferences that allows you to define the DST
for your particular region. Apparently, the last
sunday in March is the beginning of the European DST.
In Australia, it's the last sunday in October. China?
Third sunday in April. Here in the Good 'ol U-S of A?
The first sunday in April...
