I have been away from the list for a while, and have been pulled back
in by the extraordinary work performed by the DCL team. I have
installed Escale 1.0.1 on my 10.2.5 Cube and the TCP/IP transports on
my Newt 2100. I can connect and install packages, but when I try to
sync:
If I click on "Synchronize" in Escale, the Newt displays the "Dock:
Waiting for a response..." dialog, but there is almost no TCP/IP
activity (per status lights on the hub), except for an occasional
blink. This will go on for at least 20 minutes, after which I gave up
;-).
If I tap "Synchronize" on the Newt, Newt says "Dock: Backing up Names"
for about 5 minutes (with lots of hub activity blinkage) and then I get
a connection error 28009, and Escale still thinks it's synching.
I have also tried with AppleTalk and Serial, with similar results. I
have read the past week or so on the list archive, and have looked at
the bugs section on Paul's site. I got the impression that this was
implemented and working. Am I mistaken?
