Re: [NTLK] Opinion from those who've had complete and utter success.

I have had extreme success with any of the Motorola
cards. Note, 33.6k is about the fastest you can go on
a Newt. Don't waste your time and money on anything
faster.
That said, I found the 14.4 Motorola CellEct to be
extremly supportable. Never had a problem even when
connection to my Motorola (analog) startac cellphone.
I have also used the Motorola Montana card. This too
worked well with my analog startac cell phone. I
currently use (well, I carry one, but rarely use it) a
Simple Technology 28.8 communicator card. I upgraded
it (flashed) with my laptop so now it's a 33.6, but I
like it because it has a unique phone jack connection
(called a SimpleJack) that works with any PCMCIA card
slot. The key thing to remember with the Newton, is
that this device is 1990's hardware. As such, 2000's
hardware most likely will not work with the Newt
without some serious modifications. If you find an
older modem, then most likely it will work.
