I am using macstumbler too... What constitutes a "good" signal in
macstumbler? I notice the read out changes color to red when the
signal strength is below 40, but only once did I see it turn blue.
whatever that means.
Anyhow, the Internet connect signal meter was NOT completely wrong,
because after the firmware update of the MR314 base station, I can now
get a reliable connection from a point where previously I got nothing
but grief. So at least for me it provided the hint that lead me to
fixing my problem (hopefully).
