I have an LJ 2100 at home and I print to it via IR with no troubles at
all. I do have that HP IR extension on my MP2100 which I believe is required.

My LJ 2100 is a 'plain vanilla' unit and it has Postscript. The only
thing I've done with the printer is I configured it so it's 'default'
mode is Postscript.
