I have been making a lot of transfers lately from belgium to England,
canada, Spain etc and so long as the country you are transferring to is
signatory to IBAN (international bank account number) then there is no
charge to either party. Freeform transfers, i.e sans IBAN, are shared
by both parties for transfers over €1200 and paid by the sender below
that amount.
All of that doesn't count if you call you bank and they say "We would
be happy to make that transfer free of charge" which does happen.
