Richard,

IFirst of all i consider piracy on shareware a worst crime that normal
piracy.
Also i believe that a good rule is : if you use the software for
business or production of something, then pay it.
On the other hand.. u have to admit that there are quite a few products
that are heavily overpriced and worst of all have a lot of bugs to
justify their price for home use (Windows come to mind.. lol)

With this i mean that if someone has a copy of Photoshop for example in
his home computer just to experiment and have some fun.. i do not think
it is a crime.

Trying to find the crack for small shareware IS a "crime". (Cause i
still do not place software piracy side by side with other offences)).

There are plenty of examples of companies that do not use good policies.

E.g. no bug fixes,no updates, sensible prices, sensible agreements,
paying for updates that are actually just bug fixes etc...

Yes they are the same companies who want the legislation about software
patents...

So, people just playing around with software in their home.. fine with
me (do not forget that maybe they decide to buy the software if they
need it to do some serious stuff with it)

People using software for profit and do not pay for it, not ok.

The piracy of the small shareware programs is a completely different
topic i think.
