I must take issue with one part.

The whole point of doing a CD to CD copy is that its 100% the same
digital music that was on the first, there is by definition no
difference or degradation. Now if you convert the first CD to something
compressed and then burn that, OK, fair. But a CD to CD copy is burning
uncompressed digital information, there isn't anything to degrade.
