If you had the original files that were put on the CD in the same way
this would be absolutely true.
Now take in account: the amount of data originally picked up (and more
important) the speed it was written (how much does the laser of the
reader pick up again) the dye of the disk (same reason) etc.
Sorry, a lot to degrade.
(also consider the fact that Yamaha and Plextor have writers with
variable laser sizes exactly because of this)
Get yourself to a good stereo with a good original and some copies on
different brands of CD-R.
As I said, test were blind...
