I never said safari was screwing anyone.
Microsoft already did that job when the set the defacto standard of
browsers being free with ie.
Safari and the webkit are not what I am talking about.
Garageband on the other hand clearly is going to undermine third party
developers who sell music creation/recording products(on the consumer
side especially). Apple's price for is far below the going rate for
other recording softwares.

Also I would like to note that I am still happy to pay Omni for the
excellent Omniweb browser which IMHO is worth it.
The point isn't so much that Apple is "driving out" all other
developers.
Maybe it's true that this whole aspect is overrated, but somehow the
trend still worries me a bit. Remember Lisa?
