Is stuffIT a perennial favorite of Mac addicts or am I just to engrained

Okay, out of Homer mode. Not to fret, Paul. You are simply looking at a
file compressed with the venerable industry standard Stuffit (StuffIT).
You just need the free Stuffit Expander from Aladdin to decompress the
file within, which is likely your Newton package file.
