Kudos to David Humphreys! I have worked in the electronics Thru-Hole
and Surface Mount (SMT) PCB manufacturing business for many years and
agree completely with David. The keys to SMT component removal and
installation are even heat distribution at the correct temperature.
Doing it any other way can cause latent component damage that may not
rear its ugly head right away but can cause problems in the future. The
correct equipment to accomplish this task is quite expensive, which is
why we at J & K Sales do a motherboard swap to upgrade a MP2000 to a
