To get started I recommend that you get one Linear Flash card PCMCIA of
at least 4MG but up to 32MG are available. This is the type of flash
that the Newton was designed to use. In addition to Shrieve systems
there is also J&K Sales and eBay(search 'linear flash' or 'apple
newton') Item 491410737 for example. With lower priced items on eBay
look out for shipping costs.
Not all Linear Flash cards work in all models and some won't work in
any, See FAQ
<http://www.chuma.org/newton/faq/newton-faq-hardware.html#IIB1>for some
leads.
Paul Guyot has written a driver to allow the use of ATA flash ram
including compact flash with an adapter, many people are using this
with success.
