The "self-registration" mentioned is the sareg.pkg
included with all
StandAlone products. This requires a registration key,
based on your name
amd supplied by email after payment, that is keyed
into the sareg screen,
and then writes the "registered" flag to the system
soup. Once registered,
the sareg.pkg can be deleted.

Not exactly what I was thinking about but I guess you
could register it that way too. My apologies once
