So, it's dead. Thank you for your answer Dan, this people sure will make a
great work on it, but I'm in Argentina and sending him will be more
expensive than buying a new one. Perhaps somebody is selling a Newton 2K or
2K1 over there. Also, there is somebody selling Newton motherboards on ebay.
Let me know if somebody would like to sell me a Newton.
Also, my Brother is electrical engineer, so any guide on how to solve this,
will be a nice attraction for him. Now it's on his hands.
Any suggestion will be welcome.
Best Regards,
Andy

Thank you.

I am sorry to say I think you have a fried Newt (you gave it a LOT more juce
than it should have....12v ouch). It might be repairable though as you are
getting it to do something. But you need to send it to Frank, Dr Newt or
somone else on this list willing to take a look at it. I think it would
probably be cheaper to just buy another Newt from J&K sales or find one on
ebay.
It has been said before, but I guess it can never be said enough. If you
want to be safe, get a ORIGINAL Apple adapter for the Newton. Do do
anything else really is playing Russian roulette with your Newt's life
(unless you are a electrical engineer and know EXACTLY what you are doing).
