Is AppleTalk active in NCU preferences?
If it is, you may want to do the following checks:
- Run atlookup in the terminal to check that you have a :Docker entry like:
8606.e9.fa Droopy:Docker
- If so, run, in the terminal:
sudo tcpdump -i en0 | grep nbp-
to make sure your eMac receives your Newton discovery requests.
This would let us rule out problems on the Mac side.
