ADyson, I too have bid in the last 5 secs and won. As far as I am
concerned last minute bidding is just another market force in eBay. If
you really, really want something, decide before hand what your
absolute maximum bid is, and then make a bid with about a minute to go.
If you lose, then it is simply because somebody else thought the item
was worth more, the essence of eBay. Always decide your maximum before
you start to place your bid, it is foolish to start low and then try
and out guess what the next bid may be. The worse thing is not getting
your bid accepted in time because of a delay with the internet and your
request being processed by eBay.
Sorry, didn't mean to start posting about ebay, unless of course you
are bidding on your 2100 using a Wi-Fi connection : )
