From the of it it seems to make quite a difference. Computers and
related goods are exempt of duties in the netherlands, from the sound
this isn't the case in the UK.
BTW, exempt of duties doesn't mean free, we still have to pay dales tax
over the total of the value AND the shipping.
As a rule I ask people on the other side to mark items down for a low
price and as a gift. This way shipments make it over here free of any
levies almost all of the time.
