I don't know the tech specs off the top of my head, but I can give you a loose description of the product.

The REX was originally introduced by Rolodex (which is what I have) as a PIM. It is a PCMCIA card with a B/W display screen above some control buttons that scroll the onscreen icons to allow you to select the PIM app you want to open (Contacts, Calendar, ToDo, and a Notes app - I think that was it - then a tools and preferences app, also). The screen was not touch sensitive, but you could enter info by calling up an alphabet, scroll to the letter you want, and select it (tedious - it was closer to the iPod model of data access, not data entry).

The REX then used Starfish TruSync software to sync the info with your desktop/laptop. You could insert the REX directly into a PCMCIA card slot and sync.

Tiny and nice - after I got my Palm, I used to carry it when I went out and didn't want to carry something even as big as a Palm(!), but I got tired of maintaining the two dbs.

What were the specs on the Rex? Never heard of it.

I still have a REX that I'd be happy to sell/trade for very little (it's
just another thing cluttering the house).
I'm not sure of the number, but it was one of the first. I even have a
nice little metal case I made for it out of a bus. card holder.

I'd have to A) find it and B) make sure it still works before I would
send it anyware, but I remember packing it away with the original box,
manuals, cradle, etc.

E-mail me off list (basdiscussions_at_earthlink.net) if anyone is
interested.
