I've finally gotten approval to unleash the new User Map!

http://www.newtontalk.net/map/

Click on 'View the Map'. You will need a JavaScript-enabled web browser -
specifically:

-IE 5+
-Netscape 6+ or Mozilla/Firefox/etc.
-Opera
-Safari/Konqueror

You can zoom in on a particular area of interest and then click the "List the
people" button to get a list of names, locations, and (if the person has
allowed it) e-mail addresses.

Additionally, adding and removing yourself from the map has been rewritten and
re-enabled.
