Dear All,
Thanks for the replies.

In fact the Newton recognises the card as a memory card, i guess, since
the slip states 'a new memory card is inserted, do you wan't to erase it?
' (I quote from memory, but that's the message).
The 10557 error pops up when tapping and confirming the 'erase' in the
slip. Would the Newton put up such a message rather then the generic
"there is a problem with this card" I get when inserting a card without
having it's drivers installed?
>i had the same problem a low VPP response on a lot of n.10 PCMCIA 20MB
flash cards,
>when i keep inserting the cards on my MP2100 (or my eMate too)
>i get rid of the #-10557 error ... :-(
Do I understand right if I read you managed to get the cards working by
trying a lot of times (how many approx.?)
But then, what about
> It means that the card is dead.
> Sorry.
The guy states he tested the cards (how?), and I have five of them...
Best regards,
Andreas
