Yesterday, I use an old isopropyl alcohol I have, to clean the screen
sourface of a Newton with the anti-glare coating badly scratched in
places. After I clean it, the Newton stop responding.
As first reaction I leave the Newton appart, thinking that the screen is
somehow wet and it needs some time to power on correctly. Now, 24hs have
passed, and many times trying to power it on with no luck. Thinking in
the the idiotic thing of cleaning the display with isopropyl alcohol
(wich is the recomendation of Apple, isn't true?), I can't realize why
it doesn't power on. I haven't done any other thing than what I describe
here. No invalid power supply in the middle or any other adapter that
can damage the Newton, only a simple clean. Note: this is the first time
I use isopropyl alcohol to clean the display of a newton, also it was
really isopropyl alcohol and nothing else.
Any help would be apreciated.
Regards,
Andy.
