Thats right. They are re-celled with higher capacity cells, probably
2100 and 2300 mAh. These batteries run about $10USD retail for 4. I
have done two packs the first i split the pack on the seam, replaced
the cells and resealed the pack. Soldering is required, the fit is
tight and the new cells are slightly larger than the original so I had
to sand away some material from the pack to gat it to fit properly.
With the second pack I left the top off so it looks more like a battery
sled, still requires soldering and gluing the cells into the tray but
much easier.
Give it a try and save yourself some money or I suspect there are some
list members that may do it for you.
