Thanks for the suggestions,
I tried static addressing with no luck, the light just sits there and blinks away with no action on the router lighs and eventually fails.
The card is an MA401 netgear 16-bit PCMCIA 802.11b card, It however detects as an MA401RA with the latest version of more WiFi cards. I'm considering duplicating the contents of my 2100 onto the eMate in terms of NIE packages but cannot remember the software to allow me to beam protected packages, if anyone can help on this please post the name.
Also as an aside what is the standard memory size for the eMate and how can one upgrade it. I noticed when I pulled apart my eMate to look at the hinges (first thing I did, before I even switched it on) that it only has one "memory card" whilst there is space for another, does anyone know where I can get another one??? Also on the card there is space for another 2 what I presume are FlashRAM chips, would soldering in 2 more chips give me more storage, if so what chips are they, They actually look solderable as, although they are surface mount that do not appear to have that many pins.
thanks for listening to my problems. please post any ideas.
Thanks
Joel
