I would like to set up my MP2100 for printing. Here's what I have available:
ImageWriter II - I have read that the Newton does not support printing to
this.
DeskWriter - Probably broken - when turned on, the print head bangs to
the left of the carriage and the error light comes on. Any thoughts?
DeskJet 500 - Working - Serial and Parallel ports. I currently have this
on my PB1400 through the serial port by using one of two old, old printer
drivers. Can the Newton print to the DeskJet 500's serial port?
Epson Stylus 740 - Working - Serial, Parallel and USB ports.
What would give me the best chance of success? I am easily capable of
constructing a special cable, if needed and if I had the pinouts. I do
have a Newton to PC 9-pin serial cable that I am using to connect to my
PB1400 using an adaptor.
TIA...
