Hello Michael,
This error means either :
1) the right driver is not installed on your Newton.
Take a look here : <http://www.unna.org/view.php=3F/drivers/ethernet> and
install the package which goes with your card.
or
2) the right card is not selected in the connection slip. For exemple,
when using a 3COM 589C card, do select the "3com 3C589 PC Card" choice
in the slip.
