You can do it on a mac. If you have a mac with an original airport slot
(not extreme), boot into OS9 and install the newest airport software
(2.0.4, I believe). Then shutdown, put the card in (the case probably
wont shut but that's ok this'll take a second) and just after boot (or
do you have to launch the airport utility, I forget) you should get a
message about the firmware in the card being out of date, so say update
and it'll become 128bit wep compatible. this does not turn it into an
airport card, but it will work as one as well as a normal wifi card. It
*might* alter the name so you'll have to modify and install morewifi
and the pc card info thingy, but it should be good to go. I know
someone who has done this using a cube and it works great.
