Hi,
I'm looking at getting a bunch of eMates for the Middle School
classroom in which I teach.
I loved the idea of the eMac when it was introduced, but not enough
to justify the cost. What I'm wondering is, now that most of the
communication protocols current at the release are replaced by USB
and wifi, what's the most cost-effective way to transfer files (RTF
word processing and spread sheet) and to print them?

Are serial to USB cables still an option? How about using SD or CF
cards in a PCMCIA reader?
Does anyone have experience beaming via irda under OSX?

Sorry if these questions are already dealt with in the archive. My
search didn't turn them up with any specificity.

Thanks,
Bill
