The "resting" newt draws about 2.4 mA. That's with the screen on and
Frank Gruendel's NewtTest reading the battery. That would give you about
1000 hours but probably less if you were storing new data or using the
backlight.

How many hours a day would you say your Newton is on for? (ie could
you rephrase 2-3 weeks in terms of a certain number of hours?)
Does anyone know the nominal power drain of the bare 2100? I couldn't
find it on apple spec sheets...
