First a BIG THANK YOU Frank G.! :D
Past conversation on the list discussed how to get the NotePhone to
work properly here in the US though these were designed for the German
user/tel com system. I'm not sure the number of people who have tried
this or how many were successful.
Most systems use four wires. (ie. wires 1, 2, 3 & 4 from left to right)
From Frank and others I assume the info was that wires 1 & 4 are used
in Germany.
From personal experience wires 2 & 3 are used in the US.
Since I have a very good working relations with the Tel Com Dept. I
went by and asked them to crimp a 6 ft. cable as described above. As
discusses in previous threads it was a simple process - only I had the
assistance of someone with the proper tools. You can go out and pickup
these tools and DIY if you feel compelled.
With this in hand I connected it when I got home and placed my first
NotePhone call to my sister-in-law this evening. Now I've got to get
the manual deciphered for the NotePhone and figure out all those
options and features someday.
