Yeh it's a shame. Apple had two products... a developed a
successful Macintosh and the Newton, something that problems but was
gaining success and power as a hardware platform. And well, I can't
blame the decision. I can be upset at the fact they didn't sell the
platform to let someone else continue it. Now that chafes even today.
But oh well.
Wish Apple would release like a 10th anniversary Newton... a
slightly smaller, Newton 2000 with COLOR would be awesome!
