Vaughn, be patient. The Newton is extremely tricky - the interface
looks very simple and bland in a way, but it's tweakable like you
wouldn#t believe, and that in places you'd never expect. There's no
one-stop-shopping system preferences and the like, and the whole
analogy of the interface acts a lot different than the Xerox
Park-concept we're so used to from our Ataris and Amigas and WinDozes
and Macs.

You own something remarkable and will be doing a lot of cool stuff with
it. Not everything one can think of (see Software Wishlist at the
NewtonWiki), but a lot of plenty of many of things.

Good luck and enjoy the ride.

DJV.

P.S.: BTW - Newbie-struggles are very valuable. If you document your
troubleshooting and what worked in the end, you'll be able to add a lot
of new things to the Wiki, helping the next Newbie coming along.
Enriching the Wiki and giving something back to the community much
recommended!
